It took until the 16th season, but it seems that CBS has finally decided to expand the “Survivor” brand.
What does this mean exactly?
Beginning this March, you’ll be able to purchase “Survivor Supercharged Sunflower Seeds” (hooray alliterative fun). What are they supercharged with, you ask? They contain 100% of your daily requirement of both vitamins B and C.
In addition to the seeds, if you happen to live in Chicago, you might just be able to nab a spot in the “Survivor Fitness Program” - which is exactly as it sounds - a fitness program with physical challenges resembling those on the show itself.
It won’t end there, either. As the Vice President and General Manager of CBS’s consumer products division explains, “We can translate it [the "Survivor" brand] into any product or experience that is about challenging one’s self, or the ultimate outdoor experience.” Also on the horizon are additional food items, apparel, camping gear, outdoor adventure programs and even corporate team-building/leadership development programs.
