Since there’s a new episode tonight, and I’m just starting on this blog, I figured I’d write a quick post to get everyone up to speed as to what’s happened so far on Survivor: Gabon.  So, put on your seatbelt, this is going to go quickly.  Episode 1: Eighteen strangers arrived in Gabon. Tribes were picked. Tribe names were Kota and Fang. A race ensued for immunity idols and extra food. GC got the idol for Fang, Marcus for Kota. Kota won the food. Kota won first immunity challenge. Fang went to Tribal Council and Michelle was voted off.  Episode 2: At Tribal Council, Fang ‘voted’ GC leader. GC couldn’t hang and quit after a day. Tribes went to their first Reward Challenge. Kota won. Dan of Fang was sent to Exile. Dan couldn’t follow the clues so he didn’t find the hidden idol. Kota won second immunity challenge. Fang heads back to Tribal Council and votes off Gillian.  Episode 3: Fang’s rice is almost gone. They’ve only been in Gabon 7 days. Ace is annoying everyone at Kota. Tribes go to Reward Challenge. Fang finally wins a challenge. They send Sugar from Kota to Exile. They think she’s a dumb blonde, but turns out she’s smarter than Dan. She followed the clues and found the idol.  Tribes go to Immunity Challenge. Fang wins second challenge in a row. Kota goes to first Tribal Council and votes off Paloma.  Episode 4: Kota hates Tribal Council and vows never to go again. Tribes meet up with Jeff for the next challenge. They have to rank members of their tribes. Matty and Marcus are ranked number one for their respective tribes. Tribes are then mixed up, with Matty and Marcus staying on their tribes. New tribes are still Kota and Fang, with new members. Sugar didn’t get picked, so back to Exile. Had to stay there until after next Tribal, when she would join tribe who lost member. Tribes go to Immunity Challenge. Kota wins. Fang goes back to Tribal Council and votes off new member Jacquie.  Episode 5: Sugar returns from Exile and joins the new Fang. Fang spends time watching an elephant. Kota is living large, catching fish. Fang is really low on rice. Tribes go to Reward Challenge. New Kota wins. Sugar is sent back to Exile. At Fang, GC whines that he’s done surviving. He disappears but shows up in time for the Immunity Challenge. Kota wins another challenge. Crystal goes through Sugar’s bag and finds the hidden idol. She wants Sugar gone. Fang heads back to Tribal Council but GC is voted out instead of Sugar.  Whew.  Ok, my recaps usually aren’t quite so brief. There will be more detail in future recaps, as each one will be devoted to a single episode. I have been missing the previous episodes because of my recent schedule. Thanks for posting this one up!
I am sooo tired of Ace. Is that accent even real? I’m really impressed with Matty though (although he made a bad deal with Ace). Looking forward to the rest of the season!
I hear ya Joe! I do think Ace has some accent, but have you noticed how it’s gotten milder over the last few weeks? It was real heavy to start with, now not so much.
