There is an episode of Survivor on Thanksgiving night, and it is being billed as a new episode. Technically, yes, it is new, but in reality, it is a clip episode of what’s happened so far on Survivor.  Traditionally, viewership is lower on Thanksgiving with people traveling and attending holiday gatherings. The network doesn’t want to show a new episode when many fans will not be able to watch it. Since they don’t air repeats of Survivor, the only other choices are to not show Survivor at all on Thanksgiving, or to air a clip show. In order to keep continuity to the time period, CBS is showing the clip show.  The clip shows are kind of interesting though. Viewers get to see a lot of edited scenes from previous episodes, which may help fill in some blanks regarding behavior and relationships of the Survivors. I won’t be watching it live, but I will TiVo it.  Hopefully the clip show will answer some questions like why Crystal appears to be so un-athletic, and what happened that made Randy a total jerk.
