Meet Benjamin Wade

Known as “Coach”, 37 year old Benjamin Wade is the head women’s soccer coach at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar Missouri. He is also an artistic director and conductor of a California symphony orchestra. He’s artistic, creative, adventurous and athletic. He says he’s a Type A personality, and that he’s focused and can relate to anyone.

Coach set the world record for the longest solo kayak expedition from San Felipe in Baja California, to Colombia South America. It took six months, and he traveled a total of 6,132 miles. After this expedition, and coaching women’s soccer, Survivor should be a piece of cake.

He views coaching as a form of manipulation, and believes his experiences will serve him well in the game.

In his interview, he comes off as cocky and I think he’s going to get annoying fairly rapidly, sort of like Ace last season. He’s got a bit of a Stephen Segal look, don’t you think?

See Benjamin’s interview here.
