Like Sierra, Sydney is also a model living in California. Unlike Sierra, I don’t think Sydney is going to make it very far in the game.
Sydney currently lives in San Diego, but her hometown is Raleigh, North Carolina, She moved to California to pursue modeling and interior design. When people look at her they see only a pretty face, so she hopes that the other Survivors will misjudge her as well.
She’s athletic, and thinks she’ll be fine with the elements; it’s the people she’ll need to watch out for. She plans to do whatever it takes to win Survivor.

Stephen is an Internet Marketing Director from New York. He’s the self-proclaimed ‘geeky boy’ of this season. He’s a Yale graduate, but he plans to keep that fact hidden from his fellow tribe mates.
Stephen boxes and lifts weights, is manipulative and a prankster. He thinks he looks like a Muppet, although I’m not entirely sure which one he thinks he looks like.
He plans to fade into the background, form alliances, and backstab if he thinks it will benefit him.
Stephen’s number one fear is getting eaten by an animal. Insects, maybe. But, I’ve never seen a Survivor castaway get eaten by an animal. I don’t think the crew would allow one to get close enough to eat anyone.

At 19, Spencer Duhm is the youngest Survivor contestant ever. He has watched Survivor since Day 1, when he was just 10 years old. According to host Jeff Probst, Spencer would have been chosen for Fans vs. Favorites, but he was too young at the time.
Spencer attends the University of Florida where he is a telecommunications major with minors in Business and European Union studies. He also rows on the university Crew team.
It’s his childhood dream to be on Survivor, a dream he has finally fulfilled. He hopes that he can make that dream last 39 days.
Because of his age, he thinks he’ll be overlooked as a strategic player. He’s opinionated and hopes he can be non-controversial.
He thinks his biggest hardship on Survivor is going to be dealing with hunger.

Sierra reminds me a lot of Sugar from last season’s Survivor: Gabon. Not sure why, but that’s just my impression. I think it’s because she’s cutesy, but I have a feeling she’s tough.
Sierra is a 23-year-old model from LA. She’s a self-proclaimed adventure junkie who is used to roughing it. She moved to Taiwan by herself at a young age. Not sure at what age, but she’s pretty young as it is, at 23. She speaks her mind, and is not afraid to let people know if she disagrees with them, regardless of how old they are. She says she’s crafty, and that she’d afraid of spiders and snakes, both of which I’m sure there will be plenty of on Survivor.
Her plan for Survivor is to be assertive and busy, and to not overthink the game.

Sandy Burgin is a 53-year-old bus driver from Louisville Kentucky. She is the oldest contestant this season. Her motto is “If You Believe, You Can Achieve”. Let’s hope she has strong beliefs, because if history is any indicator, generally the oldest Survivors are gone very quickly. She knows that she will need to be on the team that wins first in order to survive in the game more than a few days.
Sandy describes herself as fearless, funny and spontaneous. She is looking forward in interacting with new people. She will need to play middle of the road, and not be a mother figure.
Sandy was the School Bus Rodeo State Champion of Kentucky last year.

James Thomas Jr., known as JT, operates a Registered Angus Cattle ranch in Alabama. People think he’s a dumb hillbilly because of his accent, but he’s really very smart. He does all of the paperwork and marketing for the ranch in addition to working with the cattle.
He has always been the outdoors type, and generally fits in anywhere. He figures that if Survivor is tough for him, it will be tougher for the other castaways. He believes his challenge will be the different personalities, and he has to find someone to trust.

Joe is a strong, confident and well-rounded individual from Austin, Texas. He sells commercial real estate. While at the University of Texas-Austin, Joe was a service ambassador known as a Texas Cowboy. He is dedicated and goal-oriented, and his pet peeve is drama kings and queens.
He has a strategy he calls “persuade and evade” that he uses in selling real estate. He believes this strategy will help him win the game of Survivor. He plans to make alliances and win challenges while staying below the radar. He will have to resist being a leader because he has no problem telling others how it should be.

Forty-nine year old Jerry Sims is a Sergeant with the US Army National Guard; recently returned from Afghanistan. He works in a nuclear power plant in Rock Hill, South Carolina. He is one of ten children, has been married for 25 years, and has two grown children. He’s laid back and easy going, and should be able to get along with his tribe easily, being used to living with diverse groups of strangers.
Although Jerry is the second oldest Survivor this season, I think he is going to be a force to be reckoned with. He has charm and personality, he is physically fit and mentally strong, and he has got a strong military background. While he’s a leader in the National Guard, he doesn’t want to be a leader in the game. He is happy to stay in the background and do what is needed to win.

Erinn Lobdell is a 26-year-old hairstylist and makeup artist from Waukesha, Wisconsin. She has to get people to trust her within minutes everyday at her job, so she feels getting her tribe’s trust will be easy. She is good at reading people. She says most people she meets think she is dumb at first, and she plans to use that to her advantage.
Erinn describes herself as not too serious and not too crazy. She says she is even-keeled and doesn’t get annoyed easily. She is not afraid to work when work needs to be done. Her biggest problem, she feels, is that she will have to learn to think before she speaks. But, she’s out to prove she’s not just another pretty face and wants to win the game of Survivor.
I think she may go far, flying under the radar, if she can get past first impressions.

Debra BeeBee is a 46 year old wife, mother, and middle school principal from Auburn, Alabama. She earned the nickname “Bubbles” by being enthusiastic, energetic, and outgoing. One of the things she really hates is negativity.
One of the oldest Survivors this time around, she believes she’ll be a mother figure. But, she’s also a clown and feels she can fit in with the younger set. Debbie has a tendancy to wear her heart on her sleeve, and hopes that doesn’t harm her in the game. Even though she’s older, and used to being in charge, she doesn’t want to take on a leadership role in her tribe.
She believes that she will get along well with all her tribe mates, as she’s used to working with diverse personalities in her dealings with her students, and their siblings and parents. I just hope she doesn’t treat her tribe like they are her students.
